your shots

find your edit with ease.

Sequence your cameras on a timeline, sync them to the beat, and experiment freely. no keyframes, no pre-vis render, no round tripping, all inside Cinema 4D.

The workflow

Your whole edit, one document

Built for motion designers who'd rather cut in Cinema 4D than round-trip to an editor. Experiment with different shots to figure out the best edit.

Sequence

Cut your cameras like footage

Lay your cameras out as shots on a multi-track timeline. Drag to arrange, trim and roll the edges, ripple the rest — the same non-linear editing you know from Premiere and Final Cut, now for your cameras.

Camera rig

Give your camera a real operator

Drop the Shotblocks tag on any camera and it layers real operator behavior on top of your animation non-destructively. Smooth a rough path, lock onto a subject, follow the action, or add a handheld feel. Turn it off and your original animation is untouched.

Smoothing

Damp out jitter and tame rough spline paths with linear and angular smoothing — the camera eases into moves and settles instead of snapping.

Chase

Follow a moving object with real momentum — the camera trails and overshoots like an operator keeping up with the action.

Aim & framing

Lock the camera onto a target and nudge the framing offset to compose your subject off-center, exactly where you want it.

Handheld & zoom

Add organic handheld shake or a punch-in zoom for a live, operated feel — dialed in with a few sliders, no keyframes.

Cut to the beat

Drop a music track onto an audio track and Shotblocks reads it. Drawing the waveform and detecting the beats right on the timeline. Use beat detection to snap your cuts to the beat so the edit lands with the music.

Markers

Mark the moments that matter

Drop markers anywhere on the timeline to flag a beat, a hit, or a note to yourself. Jump between them as you work, and snap your cuts straight to them so shots land exactly where you planned.

Play range

Loop just the part you're working on

Set an in and out point and Shotblocks loops just that stretch so you can dial in a single cut or transition without scrubbing the whole sequence every time. Tighten the timing, then move on.

Tracks

Tracks that build themselves

Stack shots on as many tracks as you need. Drag a clip past the edge and a new track appears; clear one out and it tidies up after you. Mute, solo, and lock tracks just like in your NLE.

Snapping

Everything clicks into place

As you drag, shots snap to the edges of other clips, the playhead, detected beats, and your markers so cuts line up cleanly with no fiddling. Hold a key to override it when you want a free hand.

Saved in your scene

No extra files to wrangle

Shots, tracks, markers, audio all live inside the .c4d document. Save your scene as normal and it all travels with it. Nothing to export, nothing to lose track of.

Render

Render your way

Render the entire sequence as one continuous movie with the cameras cutting at your shot boundaries, or add each shot to Cinema 4D's Render Queue as its own file. Either way it uses your existing render settings. Standard, Redshift, Octane, whatever you've set.
